Fall is right around the corner; we know you're busy already, and choice fatigue is so real. So, we made a list of different events going on throughout South Jersey this month that are free or low-dollar so you and your loved ones can have fun without breaking your wallet.
The Juke: Summer Garden Party II
Description: Spend the evening outdoors soaking up food, drinks, music, and games while connecting with artists, neighbors, and community members old and new. Whether you're returning for another night in the garden or joining us for the first time, this is a laid-back space to relax, mingle, and celebrate together as summer winds down.

Dirty Deeds - The AC/DC experience
Description: Dirty Deeds -The AC/DC experience celebrates the thunderous energy of the Bon Scott and Brian Johnson era, delivering a power-packed performance that takes the audience on a journey through the story that is AC/DC.

Adornments of Gladness: Closing Reception
Description: The reception will be an opportunity to experience the exhibition one final time, celebrate Brittany Anne Baum and her work, and gather with the artists, community members, and friends who have helped bring the exhibition to life. Throughout its duration, Adornments of Gladness has invited us to reflect on adornment, self-care, joy, and the ways we choose to honor and express ourselves. We’re grateful to everyone who has spent time with the exhibition and contributed to the conversations and experiences that have unfolded within the space.

Diane Burko: Extraction, A Dialogue of Extremes
Description: The exhibition is the community engagement component of the National Science Foundation grant that has funded the research. A panel discussion on the intersection of Art and Science will be presented pre-reception. Our Extension of the Classroom Arts in Ed program will include scientific drawings based on the research created by science students.

NJMML-Flagship: Remembering Seabrook Farms
Description: Flagship explores the stories and perspectives of the descendants of African American, Japanese American, and European workers who came to Seabrook Farms in the 1940s and 1950s to labor in the processing plant and fields that the company maintained. On September 18, Oni will describe the process that went into gathering these stories and using them as the inspiration for the Sailbus. Oni will lead participants in hands-on “Legacy Flag” and “Crew Patch” arts activities, so that attendees can add their contributions to the Flagship and join in its collective commemoration of migrants, immigrants, and laborers in South Jersey.

Description: 48 Blocks is a program of the Atlantic City Arts Foundation, dedicated to bringing public art to every Atlantic City neighborhood, made possible by our networks of artists, volunteers, donors, and community partners. It includes the 48 Blocks Festival and Atlantic City’s largest mural arts program.
