Building a Stronger Cultural Landscape in South Jersey

For 35 years, South Jersey Cultural Alliance (SJCA) has served as South Jersey’s regional service organization for artists, arts & history organizations, and cultural destinations.
​
We exist to champion, support, and strengthen the people and places that shape South Jersey’s cultural identity, from individual creatives to museums, festivals, theaters, historic sites, and cultural destinations across all eight counties.

SJCA is an alliance built by South Jersey's cultural community, for South Jersey's cultural community. We connect the region, amplify visibility, advocate for investment, and build tools that help arts and history thrive not in isolation, but as a unified regional network.

Today, more than 1,000 artists, cultural organizations, and statewide partners are connected through SJCA’s CultureQuest and CultureConnect digital platforms.

When culture is connected, opportunities for all of South Jersey expand.
What We Do
SJCA serves as the regional Service Organizations and connector for South Jersey’s cultural community.
We bring together artists, nonprofit leaders, creative businesses, funders, and community partners to share resources, build collaboration, and strengthen the field.
We ensure South Jersey’s cultural sector is visible, both locally and statewide, to ensure the region’s unique character and interests are represented in funding, planning, and advocacy conversations.
SJCA works alongside cultural organizations to expand their visibility, connections, and impact.
How We Do It
We Connect
Through the SJCA Membership Community, we convene artists, organizations, and partners to share knowledge, build partnerships, and create equitable opportunities across the region.
We Raise Visibility
Through CultureQuest, our public map and mobile app, we help residents and visitors discover arts, history, and cultural destinations across South Jersey.

We Strengthen Infrastructure
Through CultureConnect, our member resource hub, we provide tools, professional development, shared information, and regional promotion that help cultural leaders grow sustainably.

We Demonstrate Impact
SJCA highlights how arts and history strengthen community well-being, drive economic activity, and build pride of place throughout South Jersey.
