The arts is an effective tool for conveying health messaging and encouraging healthy behaviors within a community. Cape May County Culture & Heritage | Local Arts Program Grant (LAP) | The Local Arts Program Grant (LAP) enables the New Jersey State Council on the Arts to support local arts development within each of New Jersey’s 21 counties through a competitive grant application process by awarding funds to officially designated County Arts Agencies (CAAs). Cape May County Culture & Heritage | County History Partnership Program (CHPP) | The County History Partnership Program (CHPP) is funded through the New Jersey Historical Commission and administered locally by the Cape May County Division of Culture & Heritage. The program provides competitive matching grants to support organizations and projects that preserve, interpret, and share the history of Cape May County and New Jersey. New Jersey Economic Development Authority | Small Business Fund | Creditworthy small, minority-owned or women-owned business in New Jersey in operation for at least one full year who may not have the ability to get bank financing, or not-for-profit corporation in operation for at least three full years may be eligible for assistance under the Small Business Fund. Burlington County Parks | Burlington County Local Arts Grant 2027 | The Local Arts Program (LAP) provides funding to local nonprofit organizations (501 (c) (3), 501 (c) (4), and 501 (c) (6)) from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts (NJSCA)/Department of State, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts. Burlington County Parks | Burlington County CHPP Grants 2027 | The Division of Parks administers the County History Partnership Program (CHPP) funding provided by the New Jersey Historical Commission (NJHC). The NJHC reviews County applications for CHPP funding and based on the perceived quality of the proposed programming and the anticipated value to the community, they allocate funds from their annual budgets to the County. American Theatre Wing | The Andrew Lloyd Webber Initiative | The American Theatre Wing's Andrew Lloyd Webber Classroom Resources Grants provide funding to under-resourced public K-12 schools for equipment, instruments, and materials that create new opportunities and enhance existing theater programs. Eligible expenses include production equipment and supplies, musical instruments, licensing fees, and artistic consultants, including residencies and mentorships. History & Humanities Organization

Permanent Legacy Foundation | Permanent Legacy Byte4Byte Storage Grant Program | Digital archiving and long-term preservation shouldn’t be a luxury reserved for large, well-resourced institutions. The Permanent Legacy Foundation and their Byte4Byte storage grant program is designed to support grassroots historical, cultural, and collective memory archiving initiatives and organizations. Byte4Byte offers grants for organizations doing this work that can include free digital storage and internship stipends to help them reach their preservation goals. | Deadline: Rolling | Application information.

William G. Pomeroy Foundation | Hungry for History® Marker Grant Program | The Hungry for History® grant program celebrates America’s food history by telling the stories of local and regional food specialties across the United States. This program is designed to commemorate significant food dishes created prior to 1970 and the role they played in defining American culture and forging community identity. Pomeroy Foundation | Historic Transportation Marker Grant Program | Historic Transportation grants are available to 501(c)(3) organizations, nonprofit academic institutions, and local, state and federal government entities within the United States. Interested individuals are encouraged to contact an eligible local organization, such as a municipal historian or historical organization. They will often apply for the grant on behalf of the individual. Historic Transportation markers must recognize a historical fact that occurred by 1945. After World War II, the United States saw a significant change in transportation with the increase in automobile ownership and the construction of the interstate highway system. National Endowment for the Humanities | Chairman’s Grants in Honor of America’s 250th Anniversary | In honor of the momentous occasion of the 250th anniversary of American Independence, the National Endowment for the Humanities is issuing a call for proposals for Celebrate America!, a new initiative to recognize the nation’s semiquincentennial on July 4, 2026. Through this program, NEH will award 250 challenge grants of up to $25,000 each for projects that focus on the founding of the American nation, key historical figures, and milestones that reflect the exceptional achievements of the United States. The Herb Block Foundation | Grants for Defending Civil Rights and Freedoms Nationwide | The Herb Block Foundation's Defending Basic Freedoms program invests in projects that safeguard the rights guaranteed in the Bill of Rights, eliminate prejudice and discrimination, and encourage government accountability. The program also considers proposals addressing contemporary societal issues as they arise. Library of Congress | Grants for History, Civics, and Democracy Education | The Library of Congress's Lewis-Houghton Civics and Democracy Initiative funds educational projects that use the Library's music and creative arts digital primary sources to teach history, civics, and democracy to middle and high school educators and learners. Funded projects may include curriculum development, educational materials and tools, convening of like organizations, and research on the impact of arts integration in civics education.
