Allegory Dance Theatre is hosting their 2nd presentation of the Illumination Series, an evening of performance art. We are looking for dancers/dance. companies, poets, spoken word artists, and performance artists to join us on stage and multi medium artists to present their work in the lobby. While there are no state residential restrictions, preference will be given to applicants from the Southern New Jersey area and to marginalized artists. There is no cost to apply or to perform. This is a non-paid event. This event will take place at Haddonfield Plays and Players in Haddonfield, NJ on Friday, February 3 and Saturday, February 4th @ 8pm. The theater features a 20 x 30 ft stage with limited wing space. The theater has a 124 seat audience that is also wheelchair accessible. There is a designated dressing room area with access to both sides of the stage. Groups will be provided with options for lighting and they will have a scheduled tech rehearsal on Friday, February 3rd prior to the show. Participating groups will be provided with video of their performance and any images from our on site photographer. Submitted work should be no longer than 8 minutes. Open to presenters based in Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Virginia, West Virginia, and the Native nations that share this geography.

Presenters receive up to 50% of the negotiated artist fee plus up to $2K for other expenses when they engage an artist on the Mid Atlantic Tours roster between July 1, 2023 and June 30, 2024.

Appel Farm Arts Camp is a radically supportive, gender-affirming, conscious community that supports non-competitive arts exploration and personal growth. Appel Farm Arts Camp is located in picturesque Elmer, New Jersey, just 40 minutes southwest of Philadelphia, and offers an overnight camp experience to youth ages 7 - 17. The Theater Department Head is a Camp Leadership role. This person will create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and fun classroom environment for campers involved in theater classes; train, manage, and support staff and classes; Plan curriculum, trips and showcases; support skill-building in campers and staff, manage scheduling, communication with families and guardians. Theater Department Head will help to train theater program staff in classroom management, conflict resolution and mediation, and curriculum planning. This person will also serve on the Camp Emergency Response Team. Ideal experience includes: 4+ years of working with ages 7–17, a degree or equivalent work experience in your particular subject area, and previous supervisory experience required. Evidence of anti bias approach to youth care in previous work. This position is required to live on camp. Camp housing and all meals provided by Appel Farm. Weekly schedule varies according to camp class schedule, and includes 36 hours time off per week and additional off-duty periods each day.
