Virtual Studio Tour
More Resources • Deadline: OngoingSouth Jersey Cultural Alliance presents the South Jersey Artist Studio Tour to highlight the diversity of artists throughout the region through pre-recorded studio interviews that showcase the practices, processes, and presence of artists based in South Jersey. SJAST aims to highlight the diverse cultural tapestry of South Jersey artists, increase awareness, and provide a unique interpretation of the diverse artistic practices within the region by offering an intimate look into the artists’ studios, murals, and installations throughout several South Jersey counties with accessible videos that chronicle the artists' processes and practices. A transcript of the entire interview is available as well as locations where their art is exhibited. The project aims to inspire and empower the arts and culture sector by allowing a look into an artist’s space where artists can communicate ideas and share their experiences with others. The artists participating in the pilot program of SJAST are Chanelle René, Chung-Fan Chang, Bryan Warner, and Danielle Cartier.
The artists of the program will also participate in the Print Collection, a series of prints and stickers available to the public for purchase to support the future programming of this project. The project aims to facilitate connection, collaboration, and communication within the South Jersey artist community by providing artists with resources and the opportunity to reach local collectors. The intention is to focus beyond exposure, dig deeper into their work's influence and meaning, and support the continuation of their practice. We aim to facilitate connections between artists and local collectors through affordable artwork such as prints and create opportunities for sales on behalf of the artist and for the organization. We encourage artists to establish long-term connections with the Southern New Jersey community by fostering relationships between artists and collectors.
