Deadline: September 20. | The 21st Century Museum Professionals Program supports projects that offer professional development to the current museum workforce, train and recruit future museum professionals, and identify and share effective practices in museum workforce education and training. Deadline: November 15. | The Inspire! Grants for Small Museums Program supports small museums of all disciplines in project-based efforts to serve the public. The program has three project categories: Lifelong Learning, Institutional Capacity, and Collections Stewardship and Access. In this art exhibit created in partnership with Hammonton Pride, Drag is Not a Crime, challenges societal norms and celebrates the vibrant world of drag as a form of self-expression and empowerment. Through a collection of visual artworks, fashion designs, photography, and performance pieces, the exhibit seeks to dismantle stereotypes and prejudice surrounding drag culture. It explores the history and resilience of drag artists who use their craft to break free from societal constraints. The exhibition invites viewers to question preconceived notions about gender, identity, and beauty, fostering a space where diversity is accepted and celebrated. With a blend of bold colors and powerful narratives, "Drag is Not a Crime" transcends the confines of traditional art spaces, inviting everyone to join in the celebration of authenticity and the freedom to be unapologetically oneself.
