Artist Open Calls
Holly City Development Corporation | Call for Plein Air Artists | Registration Deadline: October 19th. Event Date: Saturday, October 26th, 9am - 4pm. Artists may set up anywhere in Millville. This event is FREE & open to all artists 18 and over. Awards: 1st Place - $500, 2nd Place - $250, 3rd Place $125. Awards and reception immediately following at the Riverfront Renaissance Center for the Arts at 22 N High St, Millville, NJ from 5 to 6 pm. Art will hang at Renaissance Center through Friday November 15th. (Pick up Art Tuesday - Saturday after the 15th.) Requirements for submission: Standard size canvas/paper 5x7 up to 16 x 20. Canvases and papers will be stamped at time of check-in (8:30-9:00am) registered artists may paint, after check-in until no later than 4 pm. Return work by 4:30 pm. You may use the classrooms to frame your entries.Canvases must be framed/papers matted and framed. 2 pieces may be submitted, however space may determine limiting to 1 piece. | More information and registration.
SJ Youth Arts Association | 3rd Annual Rising Stars Gala | In Collaboration with the Arts at Camden County College and performed at the Dennis Flyer Theater on campus. We're excited to be back for a 3rd year! Join us for a night celebrating the arts. The night will feature performances from talented young performers and organizations from across the tri-state area including local theaters, dance studios, youth groups, schools, and SJ Youth Arts casts of previous shows. The show is black-tie and features a cocktail hour before the show. This show will spotlight our talented Gala cast in a few featured numbers made up of young artists ages 13-21. Auditions will be announced later in the season. Enjoy full production numbers with high-energy choreography, powerful solos, and everything in between! Absecon Cultural Arts Alliance | ACAA Art In The Park 2024 Call For Vendors | Would you like the opportunity to showcase your paintings, photography, sculpture, pottery or jewelry in a beautiful outdoor setting? Come join local and regional Artists and Artisan Crafters in our 7th Annual Art in the Park outdoor fine art show and sale. Held every year at Absecon’s beautiful Heritage Park, our art festival offers artists and fine crafters an opportunity to display and sell their one-of-a-kind artworks and hand-crafted fine crafts. Art Alliance for Contemporary Glass | Grants Available | AACG accepts proposals requesting support for exhibitions and programming that are aligned with the organization's mission to further the development and appreciation of art made from glass. AACG does not fund requests for equipment or capital needs. New York Foundation for the Arts | Rauschenberg Dancer Emergency Grants | This program provides one-time grants of up to $3,000 to professional dancers in need, who are in dire financial emergency. You must demonstrate an urgent and critical need for emergency support in your application, and live in the United States, the District of Columbia, a Tribal Nation, or a U.S. Territory. National Endowment for the Humanities | Public Scholars Grants | The Public Scholars program offers grants to individual authors for research, writing, travel, and other activities leading to the creation and publication of well-researched nonfiction books in the humanities written for the broad public. Writers with or without an academic affiliation may apply, and no advanced degree is required. The program encourages non-academic writers to deepen their engagement with the humanities by strengthening the research underlying their books, and it encourages academic writers in the humanities to communicate the significance of their research to the broadest possible range of readers. The American Institute of Architects | AIA Upjohn Research Initiative Grants | The AIA Upjohn Research Initiative supports applied research projects that enhance the value of design and professional practice knowledge. The program funds up to six research grants of $15,000–$30,000 annually for projects completed within an 18-month period. New York Foundation for the Arts | Rauschenberg Medical Emergency Grants | This program provides one-time grants of up to $5,000 for recent unexpected medical, dental, and mental health emergencies to artists in financial need* who are creating in the visual arts, film/video/electronic/digital arts, and choreography. Only generative artists are eligible—artists creating their own, independent work, with recent and ongoing opportunities for the public to experience that work.
