SJ Youth Arts Association | 3rd Annual Rising Stars Gala | In Collaboration with the Arts at Camden County College and performed at the Dennis Flyer Theater on campus. We're excited to be back for a 3rd year! Join us for a night celebrating the arts. The night will feature performances from talented young performers and organizations from across the tri-state area including local theaters, dance studios, youth groups, schools, and SJ Youth Arts casts of previous shows. The show is black-tie and features a cocktail hour before the show. This show will spotlight our talented Gala cast in a few featured numbers made up of young artists ages 13-21. Auditions will be announced later in the season. Enjoy full production numbers with high-energy choreography, powerful solos, and everything in between! Art Club Hammonton | 5th Annual Dark Art Show Application | The 5th Annual Dark Art Show is an eclectic mix of fine art and oddities. Absecon Cultural Arts Alliance | ACAA Art In The Park 2024 Call For Vendors | Would you like the opportunity to showcase your paintings, photography, sculpture, pottery or jewelry in a beautiful outdoor setting? Come join local and regional Artists and Artisan Crafters in our 7th Annual Art in the Park outdoor fine art show and sale. Held every year at Absecon’s beautiful Heritage Park, our art festival offers artists and fine crafters an opportunity to display and sell their one-of-a-kind artworks and hand-crafted fine crafts. We encourage our vendors to demonstrate their art while attending if possible. Cost for a 10x10 space is $40. We ask that interested vendors register here on our website. Corning Museum of Glass | Artists-in-Residence at the Studio | The Studio’s Artist-in-Residence program brings artists from around the world to Corning, New York. Artists spend focused time at The Studio exploring new directions in glassmaking or expanding on their current bodies of work while using the immense resources of the world’s leading glass museum. Artists will benefit from the recently completed Wendell Weeks & Kim Frock Residency Center, which features seven studios surrounding a light-filled lounge that will be a hub for creative exchange and connection among residents. The Studio facility is equipped for furnace working, flameworking, kiln working, and cold working processes, and can support other glassworking and fabrication methods upon request. Transportation, as well as room and board, is provided to those awarded residencies. A generous supply budget and studio space are provided to each artist. Residents have access to the Rakow Research Library, the extensive collection of The Corning Museum of Glass, and expert Museum staff. Corning Museum of Glass | Black, Indigenous, & People of Color Residency | BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, & People of Color) Residency is an extension of The Studio's Artist-in-Residence program. Through this dedicated residency, the Museum aims to assist underrepresented artists while actively fostering a culture and community of inclusion that promotes, respects, and celebrates diversity. Artists spend five weeks at The Studio exploring new directions in glassmaking or expanding on their current bodies of work while using the immense resources of the world’s leading glass museum. Corning Museum of Glass | David Whitehouse Research Residency for Artists | The David Whitehouse Research Residency for Artists is open to artists who want to utilize the Museum’s resources, including the permanent collections and the holdings of the Rakow Research Library, to inform their practice. The residency is named for the former executive director of The Corning Museum of Glass, David Whitehouse, a highly regarded scholar who worked to build the resources of the Rakow Library and was a major supporter of artists working in glass. This residency gives artists time and resources for deep exploration of topics using the vast collections of The Rakow Research Library and the Museum, as well as providing access to expert Museum staff. The David Whitehouse Research Residency for Artists is not a glassmaking residency; no provisions are made for artists to create work at The Studio. Vineland Public Library | Meeting Room Spaces Available | The Vineland Public Library makes available public meeting spaces for users of the library in accordance with the following policy. The primary use of Library Meeting Rooms shall be for Library or Library-sponsored activities held in conjunction with the Friends of the Library or community partners, or for other library purposes. When otherwise available, the Library will offer Meeting Rooms for the use of groups and citizens, regardless of their affiliation or beliefs. The Rooms will be available for groups or citizens to conduct programs, meetings, seminars, study groups, planning sessions, training programs and related activities. All such events shall be free and open to members of the public who may wish to attend. The Library shall not discriminate in granting permission for the use of Meeting Rooms on the basis of race, religion, age, gender, national origin or disability. In allowing a group to use a Meeting Room, the Library does not imply any endorsement of the group's beliefs, policies, practices or program. Center for Cultural Innovation (CCI) | CCI invites applications for the Investing in Artists: Tools & Equipment grant program. The grant awards $1,000 to $5,000 to individual craft artists to purchase artistic tools, materials, or equipment that support their ability to make object-based work. The fund is open to individual craft artists, craftspeople, and folk and traditional artists who have presented artistic work in a public context—including online/digital platforms—within the last three years. | Deadline: Wednesday, September 4, 2024. Art Alliance for Contemporary Glass | Grants Available | AACG accepts proposals requesting support for exhibitions and programming that are aligned with the organization's mission to further the development and appreciation of art made from glass. AACG does not fund requests for equipment or capital needs. New York Foundation for the Arts | Rauschenberg Dancer Emergency Grants | This program provides one-time grants of up to $3,000 to professional dancers in need, who are in dire financial emergency. You must demonstrate an urgent and critical need for emergency support in your application, and live in the United States, the District of Columbia, a Tribal Nation, or a U.S. Territory. National Endowment for the Humanities | Public Scholars Grants | The Public Scholars program offers grants to individual authors for research, writing, travel, and other activities leading to the creation and publication of well-researched nonfiction books in the humanities written for the broad public. Writers with or without an academic affiliation may apply, and no advanced degree is required. The program encourages non-academic writers to deepen their engagement with the humanities by strengthening the research underlying their books, and it encourages academic writers in the humanities to communicate the significance of their research to the broadest possible range of readers. The American Institute of Architects | AIA Upjohn Research Initiative Grants | The AIA Upjohn Research Initiative supports applied research projects that enhance the value of design and professional practice knowledge. The program funds up to six research grants of $15,000–$30,000 annually for projects completed within an 18-month period. National Endowment for the Humanities | Dynamic Language Infrastructure - Documenting Endangered Languages Fellowships | The Dynamic Language Infrastructure – Documenting Endangered Languages (DLI-DEL) Fellowships are offered as part of a joint, multi-year funding program of NEH and the National Science Foundation (NSF) to develop and advance scientific and scholarly knowledge concerning endangered human languages. Addressing the imminent loss of linguistic knowledge is a major concern and a priority for both agencies. The broad range of human languages are vital for understanding human behavior and cognition, but roughly half of the world's seven thousand languages are endangered and at risk of extinction. These endangered languages constitute an irreplaceable resource, not only for the communities who speak them, but also for scientists and scholars. DLI-DEL Fellowships support individuals who are junior or senior linguists, linguistic anthropologists, and sociolinguists to conduct research on one or more endangered or moribund languages. DLI-DEL Fellowships prioritize scholarly analysis and publication, including but not limited to lexicons, grammars, databases, peer-reviewed articles, and monographs. National Endowment for the Humanities | National Humanities Medal Nominations | The National Humanities Medal honors individuals and organizations whose work has deepened our nation’s understanding of and engagement with history, literature, languages, philosophy, and other humanities subjects. The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) established this annual prestigious award in 1997 as the successor to the Charles Frankel Prize in the Humanities, which the agency sponsored from 1989 to 1996. Integrity: Arts & Culture Association | Mini-Grants Available | We believe the arts are essential to the health and vitality of our communities and our nation. We are passionate about supporting artists in creating. We recognize the great need for support, and that receiving funding can sometimes be a complicated process. This is why we decided to do what we can to assist you and why our application process has been made simple. Integrity: Arts & Culture Association (IACA) Mini-Grants generally average $250, and are intended to assist with such things as: artistic supplies, recordings, studio time, exhibits, performances, project related expenses, residences, etc. This is our way of planting seeds that we believe will continue to grow. Given the pandemic, funding requests for remote programs and projects are most welcome. This program was started in honor of every artist who has ever impacted the life of another.
