- New Jersey State Council on the Arts | 2024 Individual Artist Fellowship | The 2024 New Jersey State Council on the Arts Individual Artist Fellowship is now accepting applications. These fellowships are designed to support New Jersey artists in pursuing their artistic goals. The application process is competitive and anonymous. The categories for the fellowship include Film/Video, Digital/Electronic, Interdisciplinary, Painting, Prose, and Printmaking/Drawing/Book Arts. The fellowship awards range from $4,000 to $32,000, with the amount determined annually by the State Arts Council. There is no cap or quota per artistic discipline. - Foundation Arts Festival 2023 | The Foundation Art Festival (FAF 2023) is a juried Makers retail show curated by our Arts & Exhibition Committee. They look for unique products that promote the mission of the Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts & Sciences. They are looking for artists who create handmade, original work. Seasoned or new artisans that create unique, high-quality handmade products are encouraged to apply. - West Windsor Arts | West Windsor Arts is currently seeking artwork for their open call to artists for the Fall exhibition titled "Ode to New Jersey." They invite artists to explore their personal connection to the state, highlighting its rich history and diverse identity. From being known as "The Garden State" to the "Diner capital of the world," New Jersey has a unique heritage that has shaped its character. | The deadline to submit artwork is Monday, July 31, and the selected pieces should be dropped off or sent between August 21 and 26. The exhibition will run from August 29 to October 28, with a reception taking place on Friday, September 8.
- Mural Arts Philadelphia – Open Call for Muralists | Mural Arts Philadelphia and the Philadelphia Holocaust Remembrance Foundation (PHRF) are collaborating on a significant project to create a new artwork adjacent to the Horwitz-Wasserman Holocaust Memorial Plaza in Center City, Philadelphia. This project builds upon previous efforts to remember and reflect on the Holocaust, aiming to provide a backdrop for the Memorial Plaza. The opportunity is open to highly accomplished artists experienced in creating two-dimensional public art, with a deep connection to the Holocaust. Letters of interest from artists are due by June 30, 2023, and qualifying artists will be asked to submit a portfolio for consideration. The selection is expected to be announced by September 2023, with project completion anticipated within a year after that. For more information, contact mural@philaholocaustmemorial.org.

- Wheaton Arts Fantasy Faire | Location: Wheaton Arts, 1501 Glasstown Road Millville | Strolling costumed characters, portraying historical and mythical figures, interact with each other and visitors throughout Wheaton Arts both days. Everyone is welcome to come dressed in their favorite fantasy garbs to enjoy a variety of live performances, storytellers, dancing, drumming, and sword demonstrations. Watch as colorful champions battle to save the Kingdom of Wheaton! Fantasy Faire is included with Wheaton Arts General Admission. - I Hate Hamlet | Location: Ritz Theatre Company, 915 White Horse Pike, Arts District, Haddon Township | Written by Paul Rudnick. Directed by Bruce A. Curless. Laughter, sword fights, and hijinks ensue in this classic comedy that follows successful television actor Andrew Rally as he struggles with taking on the dream role of HAMLET. Dealing with a girlfriend who is keeping a firm grasp on her chastity, Andrew plays host to the ghost of John Barrymore, who, clothed as Hamlet, has come back to convince Rally to play the part! - Summer Solstice Music Festival | Location: Haddon Avenue, Westmont | This year's event will feature live music, food trucks, live entertainment, a beer garden, kid zone and much more for the whole family to enjoy. - Caribbean Soul Dance 2023 | Location: VFW Bar Hall 10 Kennedy Boulevard Somerdale | Come out and support this Fundraiser event, as we celebrate Caribbean Soul style. Also enjoy our 8-rack buffet and drink specials. Art In Motion of Southern NJ has been doing dance parties for almost 15 years now. The pandemic slowed us down and now we are back and ready to turn it up with good food, good people, and great drink specials. Our Caribbean Soul Dance Event on June 21st, 2023, is the start of many Fundraiser dances we will have for the future. Proceeds from each dance or event allow local Artists and Veterans to purchase art supplies. So, get ready to put on your best Caribbean Outfit and come out to celebrate with us. - Vase Making Workshop | Location: Camden FireWorks 1813 Broadway Camden | Make your own slab built ceramic vase, all supplies included. Ceramic Artist Hope Mead will guide you through making your own slab ceramic vase. All supplies are included, pieces will be fired and ready for pick up in about three weeks. Workshop will be held in the gallery where my pottery studio is located in Camden Fireworks. Light refreshments will be served.
