New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA) | Activation, Revitalization, And Transformation (A.R.T.) Program - Phase II | A.R.T. – Phase II is a competitive grant program that will disburse $15,000,000 in ARP SLFRF funding to address the impact of COVID-19 in 31 selected municipalities throughout the state. The program supports creating public space activation initiatives, such as place-making projects, public art installations, and arts-based projects. The African American Heritage Museum of Southern New Jersey (AAHMSNJ) | Miss Black America | AAHMSNJ will host new exhibit entitled “Miss Black America” in Atlantic City, the place the pageant was first held in 1968. The exhibit will feature repurposed artwork by late Philadelphia artist Robert R. Jackson. The mixed media collection will be on display from August 1 to September 29, 2024 at the Noyes Art Garage of Stockton University (2200 Fairmount Avenue, Atlantic City, NJ 08401). Join us for the opening reception Saturday, August 10th from 2 to 5 pm at the Noyes Arts Garage.
Hispanic Association of Atlantic County | Save The Date: Atlantic City Latino Festival | TICKET NOT REQUIRED (but please rsvp). We are happy to announce that international performer and award winning merengue group Oro Solido will be headlining the 2024 Atlantic City Latino Festival. This community event is hosted by the Hispanic Association Of Atlantic County (HAAC) with the sponsorship of CRDA, the City of Atlantic City and in collaboration with Organization Azteca, NJDCA and the Atlantic City Initatives Office. Oro Solido will join a lineup of diverse Hispanic entertainment, including Mariachi, Salsa, Cumbia and Folkloric dance groups. The festive family event includes a children’s entertainment area, authentic Hispanic food and vendors. New Jersey Historical Commission | Imperfectly Civil: History of Politics and Civics in New Jersey | Join the NJHC and the Eagleton Institute of Politics on Tuesday, December 3rd, at Rutgers – New Brunswick for the 2024 New Jersey History Conference! This year’s theme – Imperfectly Civil: History of Politics and Civics in New Jersey – will examine how New Jerseyans have historically engaged with civic life through elections, public debates, activism, and beyond in addition to exploring how we can support democracy today. We are currently accepting proposals for full panel sessions, individual presentations, and lightning session presentations. Ocean County Cultural & Heritage Commission | 2025 County Arts & History Grant Deadline REMINDER | Applications may be submitted only after a Madatory Declaration of Intent has been filed on or before August 21, 2024. Deadline: One Copy of the completed grant application must be received at the OC Parks and Recreation office by Monday, September 9, 2024, 5:00 PM. | Mail, Hand delivery or E-mail is acceptable. Burlington County Cultural and Heritage Commission | Local Arts Programs (LAP) Grants | The Local Arts Program (LAP) provides funding to local arts organizations from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts (NJSCA)/Department of State, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts. General Operating Support and Special Projects grants are available to qualified organizations. A panel consisting of professional individuals involved in the arts (peer panelists) will review the applications for LAP funding. This process is based on the perceived quality of the proposed programming, and the anticipated value to the community. The Burlington County Board of County Commissioners will then approve and re-grant some or all of the funding to individual group applicants for implementation of their programs. Cumberland County Cultural & Heritage Commission | Special Request Grant | The Cultural & Heritage Commission maintains a limited portion of its budget for special requests. Special requests are for those situations in which a Cumberland County non-profit organization has never applied to another grant program from the Cultural & Heritage Commission before and/or due to extenuating circumstances was unable to meet the deadline or requirements of its other grant programs. An organization can only receive a Special Request grant once. The maximum amount which may be requested is $2,000. | Funding must be applied to programs occurring with the 2024 calendar year | More information here.

Cape May County Cultural & Heritage Commission | Arts & History Re-grant Program: Letters of Intent for 2025 | Through funding provided by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts and New Jersey State Historical Commission, the Division of Culture & Heritage provides Cape May County organizations an opportunity to apply for funding for operations and projects that have an art and/or history component. Letters of Intent for the 2025 cycle will be accepted beginning August 1st, 2024. For more information, visit here: Grant Information
Cumberland County Cultural & Heritage Commission | Arts & History Re-grant Program | Each year the County of Cumberland receives Block Grants provided by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts (NJSCA) and the New Jersey Historical Commission (NJHC). A Block Grant is a single proposal submitted to a single source to fund the projects and/or expenses of several organizations. The NJSCA and NJHC review the blocks, and based on the perceived quality of the proposed programming and the anticipated value to the community, they allocate funds from their annual budgets to the County. Cumberland County is the fifth highest county recipient of these funds in New Jersey. Using the same criteria, the Commission then re-grants some or all of the funding requested to the individual groups for implementation of their programs. Applications for the 2025 re-granting round are due in the office of the Cumberland County Department of Planning by Friday, October 11, 2024. Rutgers Camden | Alonzo Adams Exhibition | The Stedman Gallery at Rutgers-Camden Center for the Arts is pleased to present a solo exhibition by Alonzo Adams, a contemporary realist figurative painter who tells stories of the Black experience. Born in 1961 and raised in Plainfield, New Jersey, Alonzo Adams is a Rutgers University alumni, earning a BFA from Mason Gross School of the Arts in 1984.
