Cape May County Division of Culture & Heritage | 2026 Grant Workshops | At the start of each grant cycle, the Division holds a Grant Writing Workshop to give applicant organizations the opportunity to meet with staff, review proposal requirements, ask questions, and discuss potential project ideas. Organizations planning to apply are strongly encouraged to send a representative—ideally the person responsible for preparing the proposal and writing the narrative. The Bolger Foundation | Capital Grants to Strengthen Communities | The Bolger Foundation offers U.S. nonprofits grants for capital projects. Community Foundation of New Jersey | Field Trip New Jersey | Field Trip New Jersey provides funds to help school children in underserved communities across New Jersey access the arts and culture, historical landmarks, nature preserves and science institutions, and college campuses. Robert Wood Johnson Foundation | Call for Proposals: Exploring Equitable Futures | The purpose of the Exploring Equitable Futures call for proposals, offered by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF), is to support projects that seed new and unconventional ideas that could radically advance health equity for generations to come. RWJF aims to fund projects that 1) explore the future by researching and experimenting with ideas that are ahead of the curve or at the edge of our collective imagination; 2) shine a light on the emerging trends and forces that are shaping our future for better or worse—and suggest ways to navigate them to mitigate harm and advance health equity; and 3) dream big and challenge conventional wisdom to surface possibilities and uncover new paths to dismantle structural racism and build a more equitable future. Projects should address one or more of RWJF’s prioritized systems: community development, government, healthcare, public health, economic inclusion for families, health science knowledge, and media. J.W. Couch Foundation | Support for Preservation, Education, and Wellness | The J.W. Couch Foundation supports nonprofit organizations in the United States in the areas of preservation, education, and wellness. Walmart | Walmart Spark Good Local Grants | Walmart’s Spark Good Local Grants supports creating opportunity, advancing sustainability, and strengthening community. The focus is on local organizations that meet the unique needs of the communities where Walmart U.S. stores, Sam’s Clubs, and distribution centers are located. Robert Lehman Foundation | Grants Support Visual Arts Access and Education Nationwide | The Robert Lehman Foundation provides grants to museums, arts organizations, educational institutions, and other nonprofit cultural groups with the goal of advancing the visual arts in both American and global culture. It supports a wide array of projects, including museum exhibitions, scholarly publications, art history lectureships, and art education programs. The Shubert Foundation | Grants Sustaining Live Performing Arts | The Shubert Foundation supports the ongoing vitality of live performing arts across the U.S., prioritizing nonprofit professional theater and also funding dance organizations. Council on Library & Information Resources | Digitizing Hidden Special Collections & Archives | Digitizing Hidden Special Collections and Archives: Amplifying Unheard Voices is a grant competition administered by the Council on Library and Information Resources (CLIR) for digitizing rare and unique content stewarded by collecting organizations in the US and Canada. Launched in 2021, the program is designed to support efforts to digitize materials that deepen public understanding of the histories of people of color and other communities and populations whose work, experiences, and perspectives have been insufficiently recognized or unattended. | The next cycle will OPEN in August 2025. | More information.
National Archives | Archival Projects Grants | The NHPRC seeks archival projects that will significantly improve online public discovery and use of historical records collections. We welcome projects that engage the public, expand civic education, and promote understanding of the nation’s history, democracy, and culture from the founding era to the present day. National Endowment for the Humanities | Chairman’s Grants in Honor of America’s 250th Anniversary | In honor of the momentous occasion of the 250th anniversary of American Independence, the National Endowment for the Humanities is issuing a call for proposals for Celebrate America!, a new initiative to recognize the nation’s semiquincentennial on July 4, 2026. Through this program, NEH will award 250 challenge grants of up to $25,000 each for projects that focus on the founding of the American nation, key historical figures, and milestones that reflect the exceptional achievements of the United States. National Endowment for the Humanities | Public Humanities Project Grants | Public Humanities Project grants support projects that bring the ideas of the humanities to life for general audiences through public programming. This year, proposed projects must relate to the following topic areas: The 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence; American Military Valor; The American Dream and Economic Freedom; and America’s Role on a Global Scale. National Endowment for the Humanities | Rediscovering Our Revolutionary Tradition | In honor of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence and the nation’s principles of equality, liberty, and government by consent, the Rediscovering Our Revolutionary Tradition program supports activities to preserve and improve access to primary source materials—including archival records; documents and rare publications; art and material culture; and photographs and sound recordings that document: 1) The history of American independence and establishment and/or expansion of the nation, including the experiences of states, territories, and communities—in the original colonies and beyond—joining the nation; or 2) The history of American government in federal, state, and local contexts, including the federal Constitution, the Bill of Rights, the Declaration of Independence, state constitutions, governors’ papers, charter documents, court and legislative records, and other foundational documents. | Deadline: September 4, 2025 | More information and application.
New Jersey Council for the Humanities | Communities of Practice | A Community of Practice (COP) is flexible gathering of individuals united by shared interests and expertise, providing peer-to-peer support, learning, and networking opportunities.
