The Aaron Copland Fund for Music | Performance Program Application | The Aaron Copland Fund for Music encourages and improves public knowledge and appreciation of contemporary American music. The Fund is currently accepting applications through the Performance Program to support performance-related activities that improve public knowledge and appreciation of contemporary concert music and contemporary jazz music by American composers. General operating support is available for performing organizations (such as orchestras, opera companies, and ensembles) and presenting organizations with a history of substantial commitment to contemporary American concert music and with plans to continue that commitment. Project support is available for organizations that do not typically engage in substantial programming of contemporary American music, but are planning an initiative of exceptional importance to such music in the forthcoming season. | Application deadline: June 27, 2024 | Learn more
National Endowment for the Humanities | The Dangers and Opportunities of Technology: Perspectives from the Humanities | The Dangers and Opportunities of Technology: Perspectives from the Humanities program supports research that examines technology and its relationship to society through the lens of the humanities, with a focus on the dangers or opportunities presented by technology. Grant Station | Venturous Theater Fund: Venturous Capital Grants | Venturous Theater Fund’s Venturous Capital Grants support the production of bold, experimental new plays at small and medium-sized theaters in the United States. Funding is limited to text-based, author-driven new plays that are ambitious in scale, epic in scope, challenging in form, controversial in subject matter, experimental in concept, and/or unabashed in their theatricality. The grants fund extraordinary costs that are integral to the plays’ production, and which might otherwise make them difficult or impossible to produce. Funded projects must offer reasonable compensation to the author, be produced under an AEA collective bargaining agreement with a minimum of two AEA performers on contract, and be full productions open to the general public for a run of at least 13 performances. Professional nonprofit theaters with 501(c)3 status (or fiscally sponsored by a 501(c)(3) organization) and annual budgets of under $5 million are eligible to submit LOIs. Grant Station | Gladys Brooks Foundation | The Gladys Brooks Foundation provides support in Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Rhode Island. The focus is on nonprofit libraries, educational institutions, and hospitals and clinics. Grants may be used for endowments, capital projects, or capital equipment. The initial step in the application process is completing a request form on the Foundation’s website. This form will provide information on developing a grant proposal letter, which must be submitted within two weeks from the date of the request form. | Application | Deadline: May 31, 2024 for Proposal Letters
Cape May County Arts & History Re-Grant Program | 2025 Regrant Program | Through funding provided by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts and New Jersey State Historical Commission, the Division of Culture & Heritage provides Cape May County organizations an opportunity to apply for funding for operations and projects that have an art and/or history component. Please see Guidelines for additional information. Applications may be obtained online (see TAB to the left) or by emailing the department at culture@co.cape-may.nj.us or (609) 465-1066. An application will not be accepted without a prior approved Letter of Intent. Applications go through a review process by out-of-County personnel. A listing of eligible and ineligible expenses is located in the Re-Grant Guidelines and Application Tab. New Jersey Cultural Trust | FY25 IFS Arts Grant Round | The guidelines for the Cultural Trust's FY25 grant program, Institutional and Financial Stabilization Grants for Arts Organizations (IFS Arts), are now available. The New Jersey State Council on the Arts is collaborating with the Cultural Trust to administer the FY25 grant program. The IFS Arts program supports nonprofit arts organizations in addressing the financial and institutional challenges that threaten their stability and in building greater operational capacity.
