One of New Jersey's oldest historical organizations(founded in 1884), the Society maintains extensive museum and library collections related to the region's heritage. It is dedicated to preserving and perpetuating Salem County's heritage.
Cultural Education at the SCHS
Education Programs for on-site field trips for school groups. A "Traveling Trunk" program is available for classroom use. The Society will be offering live interaction using a new distance learning program.

Group Tours at the SCHS
Group tours are welcomed, however, reservations are required in advance for these tours so arrangements can be made with our volunteer docents.
