Rowan Opera Company: Amahl and the Night Visitors

Rowan Opera Company presents Gian Carlo Menotti's touching, family-friendly one-act opera about a young boy and his life-changing encounter with three kings, directed by Marian Stieber. and featuring guest conductor Louis Scaglione. Groove: A Dance Pageant

The Rowan University Department of Theatre & Dance mainstage season continues with a revamp of choreographer/faculty member Paule Turner, Duchess' extravagant dance pageant, in collaboration with guest artist Tawanda "Wawa" Jones and Camden's Sophisticated Sisters. This heart-felt rhythm and blues ode to South Jersey celebrates diversity and culture while aiming to re-think the body and move the mind. Tickets are $15 and $10. Rowan Small Jazz Ensembles

This intimate evening showcases a variety of student groups performing a series of sets featuring classic and contemporary jazz, under the direction of Rowan faculty artists. Admission is free and open to the public.

Rowan University Wind Ensemble + WindFest Honor Band

The Rowan Wind Ensemble is joined by New Jersey’s finest high school instrumentalists for this new event. The evening includes Charles Ives’ Variations on “America,” Oskar Böhme’s Trumpet Concerto featuring faculty member Bryan Appleby-Wineberg, and Lyn Murray’s Ronald Searle Suite. Contemporary Music Ensemble

The Ensemble performs selections ranging from experimental concepts on the "cutting edge" to works from the more traditional contemporary repertoire, in addition to improvisation and original compositions by Rowan students. Admission is free and open to the public.


Collegium Musicum

Collegium Musicum, a mixed chamber music experience, presents a diverse approach to early music from the Medieval, Renaissance, and Baroque periods with vocalists, musicians, dancers, and more. Admission is free and open to the public.


Rowan String Ensemble

The String Ensemble, under the direction of Timothy Schwarz, explores the range of music for violin, viola, cello, and bass with a program of works by Gabriela Lena Frank, Osvaldo Golijov, and Astor Piazzolla. Tickets are $10 and $5. Tickets for Rowan student are free with valid ID.
