The purpose of the Exploring Equitable Futures call for proposals, offered by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF), is to support projects that seed new and unconventional ideas that could radically advance health equity for generations to come. RWJF aims to fund projects that 1) explore the future by researching and experimenting with ideas that are ahead of the curve or at the edge of our collective imagination; 2) shine a light on the emerging trends and forces that are shaping our future for better or worse—and suggest ways to navigate them to mitigate harm and advance health equity; and 3) dream big and challenge conventional wisdom to surface possibilities and uncover new paths to dismantle structural racism and build a more equitable future. Projects should address one or more of RWJF’s prioritized systems: community development, government, healthcare, public health, economic inclusion for families, health science knowledge, and media. Walmart’s Spark Good Local Grants supports creating opportunity, advancing sustainability, and strengthening community. The focus is on local organizations that meet the unique needs of the communities where Walmart U.S. stores, Sam’s Clubs, and distribution centers are located. Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations, government entities, public and nonprofit private educational institutions, and churches or other faith-based organizations with proposed projects that benefit the community at large. | Deadline: October 15, 2025 | More information and application.

The Worthington Industries Foundation supports nonprofits through volunteerism and financial contributions, prioritizing education, civic organizations, health and human services, and arts and culture, with support available for operations, programs, and capital campaigns. | Deadline: October 1, 2025 | More information and application.

The J.W. Couch Foundation supports nonprofit organizations in the United States in the areas of preservation, education, and wellness. For 2025, unsolicited grant applications are accepted in the following focus areas: animal well-being, including organizations that nurture compassion and respect for all living animals; early childhood education, with a focus on schools that provide young children with a creative and balanced approach to education; teachers, with a focus on teams helping teachers succeed in educating future generations; and getting outside, including organizations that facilitate and encourage more outdoor activities that help create healthier communities. | Deadline: September 26, 2025 | More information and application.

The Historic Property Survey Grant Program is a $400,000 pilot program that will provide grants up to $125,000 for the preparation of Historic Property Surveys throughout the state that include within the defined scope, properties located within a Government Restricted Municipality or that would be considered distress asset/s. At the start of each grant cycle, the Division holds a Grant Writing Workshop to give applicant organizations the opportunity to meet with staff, review proposal requirements, ask questions, and discuss potential project ideas. Organizations planning to apply are strongly encouraged to send a representative—ideally the person responsible for preparing the proposal and writing the narrative. The Burlington County Board of County Commissioners is pleased to announce the 2026 Local Arts Grant. The Local Arts Program (LAP) provides funding to local arts organizations through the New Jersey State Council on the Arts (NJSCA), a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts.
