The American Alliance of Museums takes pride in recognizing outstanding individuals, programs, and organizations dedicated to excellence within, and support of, museums. Recognition of multiple honorees in certain categories highlights the scope of exemplary work across all types of museums and roles in the museum field. To better highlight and celebrate the breadth of the museum professional community, in 2023 we redesigned the awards program to better align with AAM’s strategic framework and make the AAM awards and recognition program more accessible and relevant to the breadth of the museum field. These changes were intended to create even more opportunities to celebrate the vital role that every museum professional plays in building thriving museums, strong communities, and a better world. In addition, in 2025 we approved an additional award: the AAM Mid-Career Professional Award. Nonprofit organizations, state and local government, and unincorporated community groups are eligible to apply to be part of Community History. The 2026 program will focus on America's 250th anniversary and its legacy. This does NOT require a focus on the Revolutionary period exclusively, but rather on how we have continuously over the past 250 years strived to "form a more perfect union." NJCH provides $1,000 in funding up front to support participation in the program. Applications for the New Jersey Economic Development Authority’s (NJEDA) Next New Jersey Program – AI are now open. The program will drive economic growth, collaboration, and the development of AI infrastructure across the state by providing tax credits to eligible businesses investing in large-scale AI data centers and companies engaging in AI-related activities. | More information.

Budgeting is a foundational component of both non profit accounting and non profit governance. This course will explain what a non profit budget is and how, if at all, it differs from a budget created for a for profit enterprise. The New Jersey Center for Nonprofits and the Council of New Jersey Grantmakers are excited to launch Policy World Wednesdays, FREE monthly Zoom sessions focused on key policy issues affecting the nonprofit and philanthropic communities. Join every month to discuss all things policy, including the latest developments at the federal, state and local levels; legislative insights and advocacy opportunities; and to share any other policy or advocacy issues currently on your organization’s radar. New Jersey Loan Expansion and Network Development (NJ LEND) is a 3-year pilot program designed to expand NJEDA’s lending capacity to further support the growth and stability of New Jersey-based businesses.
