DC Gallery & Studio is seeking 10 sculptural artworks to feature in our new backyard sculpture garden. Selected sculptures will be on view yearly from May through October. Soul Shot Portrait Project pairs fine artists with families and friends of victims of gun violence.

Artists connect with family members and friends to learn about the life of the loved one through photos, mementos, and stories in order to create a portrait of the victim.

Artists need not be traditional portrait artists. Portrait is broadly defined and innovation is encouraged. Must be 25 or older to apply. Artists are juried for professionalism and quality of their work.

There are no fees. The portraits become part of a traveling exhibition that tours for one year. The portraits belong to the artists.
