ATLANTIC COUNTY, N.J. – A total of 25 non-profit organizations around Atlantic County will receive a sum of $150,800—an initiative propelled by The Atlantic County Office of Cultural and Heritage Affairs (ACOCHA) through two state funding bureaus.

A whopping $72,700 has been awarded to ACOCHA by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts in an effort to enrich art culture in Atlantic County communities.

Twenty-one non-profits were selected for the grant:

• Absecon Lighthouse
• Atlantic Arts Foundation
• Atlantic City Pops Community Band
• Atlantic Youth Orchestra
• Chicken Bone Beach Historical Foundation
• Children’s Cultural Arts Foundation
• Cygnus Creative Arts Centre
• Dance Arts League of Atlantic County
• Garden State Film Festival
• Historic Organ Restoration Committee
• Ventnor City Cultural Arts Center
• Jewish Community Center of Atlantic County
• Somers Point Arts Commission
• Somers Point Beach Concert Series
• South Jersey Area Wind Ensemble
• Stockton University Art Gallery
• Stockton University Dance Program
• The Arc of Atlantic County
• South Jersey Jazz Society
• Hammonton Arts Center
• MudGirls Studios

An additional $7,100 was disbursed to four local non-profit organizations through ACOCHA and their acquisition of the grant from the New Jersey State Historical Commission. The funds will equip Atlantic County residents with access to important historical resources and experiences.
