Beauty Beyond Nature: The Glass Art of Paul Stankard

This exhibition, organized by the Robert M. Minkoff Foundation and guest curated by Andrew Page for the Robert M. Minkoff Foundation, celebrates the botanical sculptures of an American master, artist Paul Stankard. Stankard’s accomplishments come to life in this remarkable exhibition drawn from the definitive collection of Robert Minkoff, showcasing Stankard’s evolution and major developments from his first attempts at a paperweight to his most complex assemblages. Located in the Museum of American Glass at WheatonArts, Beauty Beyond Nature is open through December 30, 2018.


State Arts Council Annual Meeting and 50th Anniversary Celebration!

The New Jersey State Council on the Arts will convene its Fiscal Year 2017 Annual Meeting on Tuesday, July 26th in the Assembly Chamber of the New Jersey State House, the agency's birthplace half a century ago. The meeting will include the election of Council officers, voting on the grants for FY17 and the kick-off of the Council's year-long celebration of its 50th Anniversary.

Please join us as we welcome special guest, National Endowment for the Arts Chairman, Jane Chu. Together we will commemorate the past and celebrate the future of the arts in New Jersey.

An open reception generously hosted by the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation and Bank of America will take place immediately following the meeting in the State House from roughly 12:00 to 2:00 PM.

Those not wishing to attend the meeting may call the State Arts Council office at (609) 292-6130 after 1:30 PM on July 26th to learn the results of the meeting. All grant awards will be posted on the Council's website, after 3:00 PM.
