SJCA Membership is open to any charitable non-profit arts, history or cultural organization, government cultural or educational agency, or individual artist in Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Ocean and Salem counties. Members represent the performing and visual arts, ethnic heritage, history and environmental preservation organizations.
SJCA offers its members various services to help them in their development and to increase public participation in the arts and culture of southern New Jersey.

Programs, Seminars & Workshops - SJCA offers technical assistance opportunities to assist members in the areas of fundraising, management, audience development, educational programming and other areas of interest. The annual membership meeting is held in June.
Regional Initiatives - Working with representatives of the tourism industry, SJCA is seeking, through its Cultural Tourism Initiative, to increase awareness, support and participation in South Jersey's cultural life to residents and tourists alike. Regional marketing efforts, such as a newspaper insert, raise visibility for our members and their activities.
Cultural Transportation Fund - Through a grant from the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation, SJCA makes funds available to arts organizations in South Jersey to transport underserved students to cultural events.
Aiken Encore Awards - This annual awards dinner each Spring offers all members the exciting opportunity to recognize their choice of honorees in the presence of peers and supporters from the public and private sectors. At this event, SJCA presents the Lillian Levy Standing Ovation Award to an individual or organization that has significantly contributed to the promotion of the arts, history and culture in the region.
South Jersey Guide to Arts, Culture & History - Promoting tourism through a calendar of events, The Guide to Arts, Culture & History is published bi-annually, showcasing performances, festivals, concerts, special events, tours, exhibitions.
Group Tour Directory - SJCA's Group Tour Directory is a reference brochure published for the group travel market. SJCA member's contact information is provided for those organizations involved in the group travel business.
Programs for Schools - A Teacher's Guide to the arts, culture, history and science for students in southern New Jersey. Programs for Schools is published annually and features the educational programming of members including artist-in-school residencies, concerts, exhibits, classes, demonstrations and performances in music, theatre, dance, visual arts, history and the humanities. Programs that address and enhance the NJ Core Curriculum Content Standards are indicated as well as programs that provide teacher prep materials.
