Ocean County Historical Society is a Victorian museum located in the historic Pierson-Sculthorp House in Toms River, NJ, containing artifacts from Ocean County's past. The Strickler Research Center houses a huge genealogy collection as well as historic documents and newspapers.
Our exhibit room is open to all from 9:30am to 4pm Monday through Friday. Our Research Center is open Tuesday and Wednesday from 1-4 pm and the 1st Saturday of each month from 1-4 pm. Other research assistance is available by appointment.

Cultural Education at the OCHS
We provide group tours for school classes conducted by trained docents, many of whom are former educators. Teacher prep materials are provided and programming is core curriculum based.

Group Tours at the OCHS
Individual tours are conducted Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1-3 pm and the 1st Saturday of each month from 1-4 pm. Larger groups are welcome, call our office at 732-341-1880 for arrangements.
