The downtown Arts District is alive with 18 art galleries & studios and more than 40 unique shops, cafes, bistros and restaurants. The beautiful wild & scenic Maurice River flows through the district. Enjoy a stroll along the Riverwalk, put in a kayak or canoe, and catch a glimpse of our bald eagles along the hiking and biking trail, or bring your pleasure boat up from the Delaware Bay and dock at the brand new Marina. Most galleries and shops are open Tuesday through Saturday.
Cultural Education at Glasstown
The Art Creates Excellence Programs includes Summer Art Classes for ages 7-9, 10-12 and 13-18. Classes are mornings, five days a week and are offered for 5 weeks in July and August. After School Art Classes for Pre K through Grade 12. Classes are one night (1 1/2 hrs) a week for 10 weeks. The center also offers adults and children's arts programs year round. Teacher Prep Materials are available.
