The Battleship New Jersey Museum and Memorial, berthed on the Camden Waterfront, is opened for individual, family and group tours every day from 9 am to 5 pm. Several tours are available, including a Guided Tour, where a trained docent will take you to the 16-inch gun turret, the Officers' Wardroom, the Bridge, Captain's Cabin, crew's sleeping quarters and mess, the ship's museum area and more! The Firepower Tour, which departs four times each day, gives you an up close look at the ship's massive weapons system, including the Combat Engagement Center, Tomahawk and Harpoon missile launch pads and more. Spend a unique evening on the Battleship in the Overnight Encampment program. Families and youth group receive dinner and breakfast fromthe chowline and sleep in the bunks the crew of the USS New Jersey once did.

Cultural Education aboard the Battleship

Schools from 3rd grade to 12th can enjoy guided tours of our nation's most decorated battleship. See how the brave officers and crew lived about this floating city. School groups get pre-lesson plan, which includes a DVD and grade-specific programs. Students can also visit the Battleship without leaving their classroom with the new distance learning program.

Contact Drew Schuckman, d.schuchman@battleshipnewjerse.org, for more information about educational programming at the Battleship New Jersey Museum.
