Outdoor concert at Appel Farm
Appel Farm Arts & Music Center is a regional arts center located on 176 acres just off Route 40 near the town of Elmer in Salem County. Now in its 5th decade of operation, Appel Farm offers a Concert Series, an annual Arts & Music Festival, arts classes and workshops in the visual and performing arts, Family Matinees and other arts activities and events from September through June. Throughout the year, the Center provides a wide range of arts programs to public schools in the region and also functions as a Conference Center, offering its facilities for rental to groups for meetings, retreats and other programs. The Center is also the home of an internationally-recognized residential summer arts and music camp that was founded in 1960 by Albert and Clare Appel. With a mission to provide affordable and accessible arts programs for children and adults in southern New Jersey, Appel Farm offers amazing arts opportunities for everyone!
Cultural Education at Appel Farm
Throughout the school year, Appel Farm Arts and Music Center provides a wide range of arts programs to public schools in the region including Theatre in the Schools, Music in the Schools and Arts in the Schools programs. Programs are appropriate for grades K-8. Additionally, arts classes and workshops in the visual and performing arts are made available after school and on the weekends. Courses can range from a one day workshop to a 10-week session for children and adults. Teacher Prep Materials are available and programming is core-curriculum-based.

Group Tours at Appel Farm
Group tours are available for the annual Appel Farm Arts and Music Festival as well as the Evening and Family Matinee performances. Art classes and/or workshops may also be tailored to fit specific group needs or tour themes.
