Job Title: Director of Studio and Performing Arts Programs

Description:
Perkins Center for the Arts is seeking a full-time director of studio and performing arts programs. This position is responsible for planning and implementing revenue generating arts education programs at Perkins Center's locations in Moorestown and Collingswood, NJ.
Responsibilities include:
Plan tuition-based classes and workshops for both sites
Develop new class and workshop topics based on current trends and interests
Recruit exceptional arts education faculty
Develop programs for specific interest groups (such as teachers, girl scouts and homeschoolers) and for special times (such as school/holiday breaks)
Develop workshops and classes connected to media featured in exhibitions at the Center
Assist with the planning and development of the summer arts camp
Coordinate end of session final events, such as dance recitals
Represent Perkins Center at community events in order to promote tuition-based programs and represent Perkins Center amongst peers
Occasional weekend and evening work may be required
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree /Masters Degree preferred in education, art, museum studies or related field; three-five years related educational/program experience in museum, school or educational organization.
Administrative experience and ability to work effectively as part of a leadership team.
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills.
Self-directed and ability to multitask; superior time management skills; and flexible approach to problem-solving.
Proficient in word processing, presentation, spreadsheet and graphics software.
Experience:
Demonstrated competency in program and curriculum development, preferably for both adult audiences and young people.
Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with a variety of constituencies including educators, community groups, other arts professionals, volunteers, and children.
Demonstrated creativity and interest in expanding professional competence.
