Take an adventure back in time with a visit to Historic Cold Spring Village, a living museum. You can tour 26 restored buildings staffed with costumed guides and learn about life in the “homespun age.” During the early afternoon take a walking tour or a class at the Center for Community Arts. After your dinner in a nearby restaurant, settle back and be entertained by the talented actors at Cape May Stage.
Aviation buffs will never want to leave the Naval Air Station Wildwood Aviation Museum. A restored hangar serves as home to a collection of aviation artifacts, military memorabilia, airplanes and engines. Take your camera –great photo opportunities here! For a change of pace, go to the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts Twinings Tea Room for an English tea luncheon, and then take a carriage ride past the Victorian architecture in Cape May. Listen to a famous or an emerging jazz artist at one of several venues during the Cape May Jazz Festival. End your day with a performance by the East Lynne Theater Company award winning actors.
Stop by the Ocean City Fine Arts League to see paintings, sculptures, and other items created by regional artists. You might find just the artwork you need! Then head to the Boardwalk for the famous Art Show or take a class sponsored by the Ocean City Arts Center. A short drive to the mainland and you’ll arrive at the Atlantic Heritage Center where you can browse the collection of Victorian clothing, antique weaponry and ship building tools from the region’s maritime past. You’ll feel like dancing during the concert by the Ocean City Pops during the evening!
